Release: STAY
“Releasing” and “staying” facially are very different concepts. One implies letting go and the other implies hanging on. So how can part of learning to release involve staying?
The ultimate release is to believe that everything is just as it should be-to trust the Divine One who knows ALL- and guide Your actions in love. The gentle spirit of love stays with You always imbuing the atoms of Your being with a luminescent shine.
However, there seems to be some confusion about the genesis of staying love. Staying love starts in loving You-not in Your love for another.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails….
Corinthians 13:4-8
How often do You give this vow to Yourself? These words are more often shared at weddings by two people searching for self-love by being loved and valued by another.
I dare to suggest the process should be reversed. We should make this vow to ourselves about ourselves. Before we commit to love another we must learn to love ourselves. In so doing we learn how to love others, which enables us to recognize true love and to honor our natures.
By staying true to You- by loving You- You love others both romantically and in life without need. Life becomes Your gentle loving of others as you would like to be loved. “How do i love thee?” can be answered simply, “As i love me.”
You do not crumble if Your love goes unrecognized, because Loving Yourself is a foundation stone of life supporting Your tomorrows - even if others go away YOU remain to love again content in YOU. When You love Yourself and others as You would choose to be loved in the same situation, You know You are reaching out to Your highest self. What better life than to stay in love with mankind, confident in Your value no matter the choices of others.
I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
